Badgley Mischka is a top name in New York glamor. This time, they took inspiration from Hollywood - which makes sense, since their dresses do end up on Hollywood red carpets.

The idea arose from the film White Mischief (1987), which stars Greta Scacchi. The film was set in the forties and it recounts the misadventures of a British aristocrat who has a romance in colonial Kenya.

The line also features clear references to the seventies - an essential trend for the coming season.

We like the brand philosophy - they don't think about urban women or everyday garments, their dresses are pure glamor for special events.

The organza pieces are full of romances and appliques, while their macramé garments have been widely praised.

At the fashion show they combined their haute couture line with their more casual Mark & James brand.
