The Etro fashion house proposes for the fall winter collection 2010/2011 the ethnical details that have always characterized it. The elegant and sensual items embrace the feminine silhouettes enhancing a kind of beauty that recalls the oriental shapes with their prints and colours. Paisley prints a part, the wintry collection is enchanting us with its arabesque motifs and floral prints on fabrics like jersey, silk and velvet.
The Etro dresses, created with the high tailoring of the fashion house, suit with refined uniqueness. Dark shades of black and purple are paired with red and gold. While cuts fall gently on the body embracing it and enhancing the shapes.
The beauty of the brocade fabric brighten up blazers and Etro coats, creating a charming and exotic effect and emphasizing the waist. They are just perfect for both day and night, maybe paired with classic slim pants made of lurex wool.

MAC had a short and sweet launch of six nail lacquers (which might account for why there were none in Fabulous Felines!), all of which are Asian-inspired. nail expert Jin Soon was inspired by the “Forbidden City,” and she created shades inspired by the sculptures, architecture, fabrics, and decorative papers of Imperial China. Each shade has “pearl essences for subtle dimension.”

All of these need a top coat (but how many of us go sans top coat anyway?!), because they dry to a rather flat finish–a little shiny but not at all glossy; I used MAC’s Overlacquer top coat on all of these. The formula was on the thinner side overall, but the majority of shades were very rich in pigmentation. Having only purchased these this morning, I haven’t exactly been able to wear these long term, but I did notice that Jade Dragon and Rain of Flowers are shades that may stain (for sure Jade Dragon).

This fall 2010 the Thomas Wylde brand bring us a line that's clearly influenced by military styles, with details inspired by old armour. The exquisite range of textiles combines cashmere, leathers and silks. The iconic designs come in a color palette dominated by natural tones like cobalt blue, snow white, granite and bone white...

The line reflects the brand's chic, sophisticated style, and there are many military details in the garments. There's a feminine touch however, and an unconventional reinterpretation of the camouflage print.

The military print contrasts with the feminine silk dresses and waistcoats. And what do you think of their crystalized camouflage t-shirts? This season's print is called War Pony and it's a horse skeleton. Somehow they've made a potentially grotesque image into something beautiful.
