Sarah Burton presented Alexander McQueen Fall 2011 Collection during Paris Fashion Week that was memorable, dreamy and flaunted some Royal Wedding Dresses on runway. Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2011 Collection by Sarah Burton was absolutely perfect.
Alexander McQueen Autumn/Winter 2011/12 runway show, an ode to “The Ice Queen and Her Court” reflected that aesthetic at it`s purest with what the show notes called “heritage silhouettes”.
Alexander McQueen fall 2011 gowns looked apt for Royal Wedding and could convince Princess-to-be Kate Middleton to go for Sarah Burton’s design for her April wedding like a gown with a body collaged from broken china, that erupted into a froth of organza was stunning.

Then came slew of models flaunting designs that had a blurry-edged softness, which came from the fur that lined hems, cuffs, and shoulder seams.
Color palette was mostly based on black, white and some grays with a flash of lavender and baby blue, here and there.
Sarah Burton’s couture-level tailoring was prominent in fitted wool jackets trimmed in fur, tiny zippers running vertically around a skirt hem, spray-on leather leggings beneath skirts and dresses with bodices crafted entirely from mosaics of broken bone china plates.
Fur was prominent in drop-waist halterneck dress and the hood of a sleeveless sheath. Models grabbed attention in their colorless faces and small, metal-covered heads and Lace-up platform booties.
Rounding up the show were Alexander McQueen Fall 2011 evening gowns that came in white looking as pure as snow and in black flaunting sexier side. On the whole, Alexander McQueen Fall 2011 runway show was all about intricate tailoring and dreamy dresses and gown, apt for royal wedding.

Balenciaga Fall 2011 Fashion Show presented during Paris Fashion Week opened with models steeping on runway donning jackets that looked to be made of knitted leather also known as pleather.
Balenciaga’s creative director Nicolas Ghesquière flaunted a nice play of thick leather coils, vertical stripes, volume and modern floral and took color-blocking and futuristic textures to a whole new level.
Balenciaga Autumn/Winter 2011/12 show featured Balenciaga woman, looking armored this season in looks featuring juxtaposition of hard and soft materials. Roped-leather vests and jackets showed up strong silhouettes while sheer-paneled top and vest paired with floral skirts in exotic prints was quite feminine. Models wore pointy-toed multi-strap shoes that looked must have.
Making the show all the more must see was model Miranda Kerr who stepped on runway just 2 months after giving birth. With Orlando Bloom and Anna Wintour among the front-row attendees, it turned out to be star studded show
Looks like floral pieces layered with sharp black vests and jackets, spongy sweaters that featured military detailing teamed with black versions of those floral skirts, asymmetrical color-blocked crepe de chine tunics paired with skinny trousers zippered up the back of the ankle, a square-cut navy silk top was worn with one of the folded skirts in black, with flashes of metallic gold detail.

Talking about accessories, Balenciaga Fall 2011 handbags included structured and puffy woven clutches, rectangular clutch bags stuffed to produce a more rounded effect, and some slim and rectangular handbags featuring opulent embossed metallic work on Spanish leather.
Rounding up the show were a pair of coats inspired by an archival Cristobal piece from 1965.

"My inspiration is real women," revealed the Venezuelan designer. The line features ultra-feminine pieces with belts tied at the waist and a fullness in skirts reminiscent of the fifties.
We like the structured lines with sleeves that are fitted to the elbow, then voluminous to the wrist. And we love Caroline's winged skirts, which follow the curves of the legs but have exaggerated pleats at the back. The textiles in the line include wool, cashmere and tweed, in dresses, suits and coats.
Red, orange, pale pink and beige bring a note of color to the black and gray that dominates this new line.
DKNY bring us another exploration of New York's cosmopolitan essence. This new collection features straight lines and mixed textiles. The color palette is somber, dominated by nude and black, with pink, orange and red details reminiscent of fall.
The brand's oversize coats and layers remind us of New York's harsh winters. We like their use of wide stripes, which break up excessive structure in the sweaters. Biker jackets are back next fall, in a luxury new design.

Inspired by the smoky mystery of the Far East, Ralph Lauren gave us a little Shanghai surprise this morning. With a soft version of David Bowie's "China Girl" playing in the background, models emerged in mostly black, often lustrous ensembles accessorized with jade earrings and red lacquered heels. The silhouettes remained classic — halter dresses, tuxedos, shawl coats — but he achieved a dramatic, sexy mood via rich satiny fabrics and sparkling details. There was ornate beading on dresses, including a black dress that shone from being covered entirely in black beads, wrap dresses done in a luxurious garnet-hued panné velvet, and a double-breasted suit in shantung silk that inspired visions of Marlene Dietrich in Shanghai Express. Ralph had his menswear moment as well, showing pinstripe trousers with a jade green silk top and sharply tailored tuxedos.
