It is Christian Louboutin Autumn Winter 2011 Look Book created through a collaboration with iconic photographer Peter Lippmann.

Famed footwear brand Christian Louboutin collaborated with Lippmann, who chose iconic portraits in art history and gave them that special Louboutin touch by juxtaposing label’s fall-winter collection with portraits inspired by classic paintings.

Iconic photographer Peter Lippman has showcased Christian Louboutin Fall Winter 2011 collection, quite artistically by giving it an Old Master makeover.

Theme of the collaboration is ‘the power of femininity’ and Lippmann took iconic Louboutin shoes and placed it into historic powerful figures and images in art including Whistler’s Mother by James McNeill Whistler.

Talking about Christian Louboutin Autumn Winter 2011 look book; in one of the photos inspired by Francisco de Zurburan’s ‘Saint Dorothy of Caesarea’, model is presenting a ‘8 Mignon’ strappy sandals on a fruit platter.


In other image inspired by Jean-Marc Nattiers ‘The Portrait of Marquise D’Antin’, the Artemis shoulder bag is featured.

In another classic, Whistler’s Mother can be seen holding the fashion-forward ‘Tootsie’ ankle boot while Marie-Guillemine Benoist’s Portrait d’une Negresse totes a ‘Balda Booty’.
A Christian Louboutin leopard-print shoulder bag is also featured under the arm of Jean-Marc Nattier’s Marquise de Pompadour.
